Last night, Wizkid performed at a concert in Niger, and it was a success. Not longer after, the Star Boy Worldwide CEO took to Twitter to brag, like he has been doing recently.

“Just sold out another stadium tonight. #TeamStarBoyNiger. I love you all,” he wrote, before adding, “[I’m] doing this differently! Riding a tsunami wave. you’ll get lost trying to keep up.”

The ‘Ojuelegba’ singer continues to smash borders with his music, and now headlines the crop of artistes taking Nigerian music to the world. In 2015, he gained global recognition after rapper Drake remixed Wizkid’s ‘Ojuelegba’. Then came the chart-topping single, ‘One Dance‘, which took the Nigeria’s act to all global charts available, from Billboards to Spotify and iTunes, beating the likes of Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.
Yesterday at the Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour, rap guru Diddy had ‘One Dance’ playing for the excited crowd.
There are strong hopes that Wizkid may get his first Grammy nod if Drake’s album ‘Views’ is nominated and wins at the next Grammy. Recall that the Canadian rapper listed Wizkid as one of the producers of ‘One Dance.’ And what do Wizkid’s fans think of the singer’s dreams?
